Meet our team

Ron started the company 17 years ago so he could work with his 7 sons no matter what age they were. The goal was to teach them a good work ethic, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a marketable skill. Due to the family’s hard work, good business decisions and the blessing of God, Denver Deck Builders has grown to 8 crews and over 30 people while building nearly 2000 decks for satisfied customers to enjoy. Ron has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Ron passed the PE exam nearly 30 years ago in Civil Engineering, so he can custom design and stamp his own deck plans to meet specific customer requests. Ron also passed the Class A General Contractors exam giving him the authority and the license to build sky scrapers, but he prefers to work directly with customers and build decks with his sons. Ron and his wife of 35 years, Nancy, enjoy discipling their children and grandchildren, travel, golf, mountain biking, climbing 14ers, and mentoring other married couples/parents in their church.

Tyler got his undergrad and MBA in business, accounting & Finance. After working one year as a public tax accountant he realized his passion was not to sit cooped up in an office all day. Tyler started full time with Denver Deck Builders 6 years ago and hasn’t looked back. He has experience in every facet of the company but his real passion & drive is meeting with prospective clients and helping them design their dream outdoor living space and make them come to life!! When Tyler isn’t working he loves to play sports, watch sports, hunt, read, hot tub, snowboard, mountain bike, go four wheeling, coach his younger brothers sports teams, work out, and hang out with his family.

Peter has been building decks for many years, starting on the job site at the very young age of four. He would help his dad and older brothers by picking up scraps in the yard. Now he is Operations Manager and has experience in every area of the company from building, to sales, to management and everything in-between. Peter works one-on-one with customers and crew leads to ensure that each deck meets Denver Deck Builder’s standards and he leaves each customer he comes in contact with knowing that their deck is one of a kind and handcrafted to fit their vision. When Peter is not managing his crews, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Meagyn and his new baby girl. Peter spends his free time breeding their golden retrievers, golfing, playing basketball, mountain biking and connecting with others at their local church. Peter and Meagyn recently bought their first home and look forward to raising their family there.

Cody is an estimator for Denver Deck Builders, providing clients their dream outdoor space. He began as a builder, working alongside deck crews to understand construction first-hand. Cody is diligent in quick responses and professionalism, valuing customer's time as much as his own. His favorite part of this work is watching the customer's outdoor living goal become reality. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and spending time in the mountains.

Growing up Shane worked in the construction trade for many years working summer jobs with his Dad remodeling kitchens and bathrooms but has found his niche building decks. Shane’s passion in building is creating something that will stand the test of time while crafting it with an attention to the details that will be appreciated for years after he’s done. He also enjoys rising to the challenge that each individual project has as well as making each deck custom to the request of his customers. His Other passions include working as a Realtor, playing and coaching lacrosse, playing golf and exploring all the restaurants and outdoor adventures that Colorado has to offer.

Hi! My name is Carson Evans. I’m 21 years old and have been constructing decks with Denver Deck Builders for close to two years now.  In those two years, I’ve learned that I carry a tremendous passion for creating something that’s an embodiment of a vision and an extension of a home.  My goal when I approach any project is to not only build something that’s going to please your eye, but something that for many years is going to be a space to create and share memories. Aside from enjoying my job, I like see my favorite artists at one of the many local venues and am an avid snowboarder! Whether it’s at work, on the mountain, or at a show, I take great pleasure in simply soaking up life wherever I am! 

My name is Keaton, I am one of Denver deck builders crew leads. My passion is to help build the outdoor space of our clients dreams! From a young age I have been interested in learning how to build and create. My curiosity led me to learn many skills from electrical work, plumbing, framing, drywall and lots in between. I consistently found myself getting to use these skills  in home improvement projects for family and friends. I give my all to every project I am involved in and enjoy working with our clients to see their projects to completion. Prior to deck building, I answered the call to join the US Marines and served as an Anti-tank missile man with 3rd LAR. In 2022, I married my wife Tirzah and we recently welcomed our first baby girl in July 2023! In my spare time  , I enjoy spending time with family, working on my  truck and continuing to dream and work toward our little family’s big dreams!

Hi! My name is Jonny. I started working part time with Denver Deck Builders as a sophomore in high school and I’ve found something I really enjoy! I love being outside and working with my hands, while at the same time being able to construct an awesome space where clients can enjoy the outdoors as well. Outside of work I enjoy golfing, volleyball, skiing, camping, and basically any other outdoor recreational activities.

Hello! My name is Benjamin Herrera. I was Born and raised in Colorado and am 22 years old. I have been with Denver Deck Builders for a little over 2 years and it has been some of the most rewarding work on the planet. There’s a reason Jesus was carpenter…As a child I always loved working with my hands whether that be a Lego set or taking things apart and that mindset has helped set me up to overcome any challenge that we may face in achieving the final product, the deck of your dreams. I give my 110% with every deck and I take pride in every project I build. In my free time in enjoy hanging out with friends, hiking, and upgrading the engine and suspension of my truck. Also I enjoy traveling to new states and cities I haven’t been to and going to various concerts across Denver area. With anything I choose to do my goal is always to experience life to the fullest
